Port Royal Biography

Brisbane’s Port Royal, with their modern spin, antics and persona’s formed in mid-2015 after a shared love of the attitude, aesthetic and music of classic rock n roll culture.
It was May 2016 when they released their debut EP ‘The Express’ where soon after they landed their first real support slot with the Sydney-based band, Castlecomer.
Since, they have graced the stage with nationally touring rock acts such as The Delta Riggs and The Cherry Dolls.
It was March 2017 when they reached new heights and gained some real credibility with their single ‘Get Heavy’ that was tied to their unique film clip starring a puppet version of the front-man rocking out. ‘Get Heavy’ was later voted in at #2 on 4ZZZ’s Hot 100 on January 1, 2018.
In September 2017, Port Royal released another single ‘Pinch-Hit’ and embarked on their first East Coast tour. They returned home, landed a spot at Brisbane’s Valley Fiesta and then quickly made plans for to hit the road for the second time.
Fittingly, they called the 11 date tour that stretched from December to February 2018, the ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ Tour’ that had them revisiting Sydney and Melbourne, and on their way made new fans, playing shows in previously unexplored territories.
