Growing up in a small town west of Edmonton, Alberta Nick has always had an ear and a passion for music. From throwing parties on his acreage in high school to rocking out the main floor at Y Afterhours he has never had a problem doing what it takes to have everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves. Starting out learning in his roommate’s basement he picked up on the skills it took to be a dj quickly. Then moving on to organizing outings to parks on Sundays with Edmonton’s favorite dj’s, a set of turn tables, and a large following of friends he was getting his name and skills out to all the right people. With all this hard work he soon enough ended up running his own night at one of Edmonton’s hot spots for electronic music Level 2 Lounge. Here is where he found his sound and style which ranges from breaks to speed garage to electro to dubstep. After showing Edmonton what he’s got, he was asked to play at Edmonton’s premiere electronic dance club Y Afterhours. He has had the pleasure of play along side Lazy Rich, Capital J, Bass Kleph, Amanda Rude, and Wonk. It is sure to say 2012 is going to be a big year for DJ NV.
