The Ghost of Lemora Biography
Biography
Formed in London in 2001 with a heady mix of glam, post-punk and psych rock. Their 2002 debut The Silhouette Scene sold out in a few weeks and is now a collectors item. The band have built a sizeable following releasing their debut album Reach For The Ground in 2004 receiving rave reviews both home and abroad.
2008 saw the release of their eagerly awaited second album. Produced by Reza Udhin of the legendary Killing Joke, Lemora surpassed their outstanding debut with "Happy End of the World".
Whilst still playing live Lemora took a long break from recording until 2015 with the release of the "Hello Mr" EP. The blues inspired title track about a surreal meeting with the Devil.
After the success of Hello Mr the band went through a considerable line up change which transformed their sound and live shows.
With new members Jeff Simon on drums, bass player Colin Ness and the legendary Peter Jennings, ex of Cressida on keyboards the band recorded Sweet Satan EP. The title track being an ambitious 7 minute opus, described by Power Play Magazine as lyrically intense, raunchy and raw. I Dream of You was included in Plastic Head Media's tracks of 2016.
An album and European dates are being planned for 2017.
