Vandiver

Vandiver is the maiden name of Andrew's late mother Cynthia, who's life and death, sparked the passion for honest songwriting and raw lyrical expression that define his sound today. He describes songwriting and performing as his way of avoiding clinical mental health counseling. Backed by Kevin O'Conner of Portland's Talkdemonic, the vinyl EP release of What May Rot in April of 2022, is Vandiver's way of sharing some of that therapy, and passing some of those savings on to you. In 1992 a band called Cracker said, "what the world needs now, is another folk singer, like I need a hole in my head". Vandiver exists in 2022, to tell Cracker "put the gun down, and let's talk it over".
