Masterpiece Biography
There are at least 5 bands who have recorderd under this name.
Masterpiece is a symphonic power metal band from Japan.
Another band called Masterpiece is from Broumov, Czech Republic. They play a specific version of brit-rock, influenced by bands like Oasis or Blur (their big idols). This band was based in 2000 (but seriously one year later). In these days released EP called A Piece Of (2006).

The Japanese doujin musician Morio released his solo works under the name Masterpiece. He's part of the Preludio duo. http://homepage3.nifty.com/preludio/
Masterpiece is also the name of a hardcore band who play old school, intense hardcore like Outbreak and Shark Attack.
It is also the early 80's dance project of producer Bill Hagans.
