Richelle Sigrist - Music Biography
Richelle Sigrist considered herself a "closet singer" from an early age. Yet, she caught the eyes and ears of those around her. At the age of 21, she started singing with her brother-in-law at shows in downtown Fort Smith, AR. Her love for singing drew her toward the worship team at her church. Sitting under incredible worship leaders and drawing from their experiences, she grew her skills. Richelle now leads and manages a team of talented musicians at a church in Stillwater, OK.
In 2014, at 39 years old and with the support of her family, she decided to start a band and explore the art of songwriting. She began by studying and playing cover songs ranging from Otis Redding’s “Dock of the Bay” to Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” to ZZ Ward’s “If I Could Be Her”. The community quickly embraced her with regular performances requested by local establishments.
She is currently preparing for the recording of her debut album, scheduled to be released in 2017. Influenced by James Taylor, Ray Charles, and Bonnie Raitt, Richelle's original music is lyrically driven with various blends of classic rock, soul, blues and pop.
