Conviction

Formed in 1999 in Pavia, Conviction's first line-up included Gianlu on guitar, Rex on drums, Euge on bass and Puccio on vocals. With this formation Conviction played until 2002, when Puccio left the band. Niko became the new singer. Conviction played several gigs in Italy also sharing the stage with bands such as MADBALL, CEPHALIC CARNAGE, IMPALED NAZARENE, DISFEAR, HIMSA, EXHUMED, LABRAT, BARCODE, TERROR, INTEGRITY,CRIPPLE BASTARDS etc. Conviction recorded their first CD in june 2003 with Niko on vocals before he left the band due to musical differences. The band continued with a new singer for a while, before the arrival of Sid. First satisfaction in live began to come, and "Physiatrist must die!!" seemed to be the song of the new reborn. Unfortunately in december 2006 Euge left the band, and Conviction began to search the new bass player, without success. Live performances and song writing continued, and in may 2007 Conviction recorded their second CD, "Brutal Entertainment", in which Gianlu played also the bass parts. In the same month, Dario, guitarist full of experience, joined the band as bass player, and the line up of Conviction was so finally completed... Formatisi nel 1999 a Pavia,la prima line-up dei Conviction ha incluso Gianlu alla chitarra, alla batteria Rex, Euge al basso e alla voce Puccio. Con questa convinzione la formazione ha suonato fino al 2002, quando Puccio lascia la band. Niko diventa cosi il nuovo cantante.dopo diversi concerti in Italia, anche condividendo il palco con band come i MADBALL, CEPHALIC CARNAGE,IMPALED NAZARENE, DISFEAR, HIMSA, EXHUMED, LABRAT, BARCODE, TERROR, INTEGRITY,CRIPPLE BASTARDS , ecc i Conviction hanno registrato il loro primo CD nel mese di giugno 2003 con Niko alla voce prima di lasciare la band a causa di divergenze musicali. La band ha continuato con un nuovo cantante per un po ', prima dell'arrivo di Sid. Purtroppo nel dicembre 2006 Euge lascia il gruppo,e nel frattempo i Conviction continuano a suonare senza bassista.Nell maggio 2007 i Conviction registrano il loro secondo CD, "Brutal Entertainment", in cui Gianlu registra anche le parti di basso. Nello stesso mese, Dario, chitarrista pieno di esperienza, si unisce alla band come bassista, e la formazione dei Conviction per un po sembra completa.Verso la fine del 2010 Dario lascia il posto di bassista ad Alessio (bassista degli Apeiron)alternandosi nei live e registrando assieme le parti di basso del nuovo cd:In blast we trast che vede le sue registrazioni finire in modo un po triste: nel luglio del 2011 Rex lascia il gruppo seguito da Gianlu che però ci ripensa e a distanza di un mese torna...dopo un anno di tentativi con batteristi vari,a maggio del2012 le cose cambiano radicalmente:Gianlu lascia il gruppo,Dario (ex bassista) torna come chitarrista e Rex torna alla batteria...
