Crammerock is een tweedaags, complexloos muziekfestival tijdens het eerste weekend van september in Stekene, tussen Antwerpen en Gent. Jaarlijks passeren meer dan vijftig bands op de drie podia, die garant staan voor non-stop muziek uit alle genres. Dankzij een uitmuntend collectief aan vrijwilligers weet het festival zich te onderscheiden met lage ticketprijzen en een opvallend ongedwongen sfeer. De vorige editie klokte het festival af op meer dan 35.000 bezoekers. Op de line-up dit jaar meer dan 50 nationale en internationale acts waaronder The Vaccines, Black Box Revelation, Bazart, Goose, Lil Kleine, Circa Waves, Enter Shikari & Craig David. Winner of Best Male at the 2016 MOBO Awards and Best Collaboration with Bastille at the 2018 NME Awards; with 2.1 million single sales and 117 million single streams in the last year alone – this is the most talked about return to music in decades!
It is 18 years since his debut album, the critically acclaimed ‘Born To Do It’, was at Number 1 and in 2016 his album, ‘Following My Intuition’ stormed straight to the top spot in the Official Albums Chart.
A headline arena tour followed and sold-out in seconds and he will be returning this summer, after two landmark seasons, to the iconic Ibiza Rocks for a record breaking 12-week residency with his world-renowned DJ show TS5.
With his single ‘I Know You’ featuring Bastille becoming a top 5 hit in the charts in January 2018 and his new album ‘The Time Is Now’ reaching number 2 and streamed over 110 million times since its release, it would be an understatement to say that the last two years have been anything short of monumental for Craig.
