$10 entry on the door.RSVP on Facebook hereMelbourne-based hip-hop artist BOY CURSED is set to perform at The Workers Club to launch his long-awaited debut project, 7. Acting to definitively establish BOY CURSED as an artist in Melbourne’s music scene, the seven-track project is built around the concepts, experiences or influences of the seven deadly sins, with each song connected to one of the sins in some particular way.Co-produced by Daniel James Johnson and interweaving BOY’s rapped and sung vocals as well as his own producing skills, 7 works to display the hip-hop artist’s diversity and expertise within several differing urban musical contexts.Helping out BOY CURSED on the night are several different acts:- Daylight Avenue, an established alternative pop-rock band; supported by folk artist HPK as a temporary frontman, each individual member of the collective brings their own personality to the music that they play, well-documented in their debut album, Alone in a Crowd.- Fairtrade Narcotics, a wild 5-piece fusion; mixing together the genres of jazz, rock, and hip-hop, Fairtrade show a widely versatile sound that’s best enjoyed live and in your face.- RDBCK, a tireless EDM producer; DJ for BOY CURSED, RDBCK is very much an artist in his own right- usually providing his own energetic remixes, RDBCK will be hosting a miniature cypher with rappers Nomad, J.B.T and Young Bwizzi, alongside fellow producer Mistah Smith."
