About this concert
Silver Relics is a New York based rock group founded in 2017 by Alex Sepassi. Silver Relics feature a wide collection of influences that truly showcase the raw identity and stylistic depth of Sepassi's songwriting. Silver Relics continues to resonate with their listeners and to extend their reach since they began performing on New York stages in late 2017. Their live performance and style has often been compared to their artistic influences: Depeche Mode, The Cure, Duran Duran, Joy Division, New Order, The Verve, Nirvana, The Stone Roses, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, The Doors, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. Autorotation "Really interesting stuff... Reminds me of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in a way, but obviously a stage or two on from that." - Rick Wakeman(composer and keyboardist for Yes, David Bowie) Autorotation are an industrial art-pop trio from London, UK. Combining real voices and acoustic instruments with laptops, synths, samplers and visuals, they create compelling and unique live performances. To the ear, Autorotation choreograph a lush electronic choral sensibility with progressive and percussive beats, disorientating washes of pedal-tones and natural warm acoustics, and all somehow within the confines of one 'song'. There are no boundaries. With influences ranging from Kate Bush and David Sylvian to Aphex Twin and Laibach, Autorotation are at the same time accessible, intriguing and experimental. Autorotation Biography

In 2001, a 'musicians wanted' ad unwittingly brokered a life-changing deal between a creative, out-of-water Brit (Robyn Sellman) and a technically adventurous Serb (Igor Olejar), both living in Toronto and lo, Bleep (now Autorotation) were born. Playing local gigs and festivals there and releasing product in the summary manner - notably the 2002 debut "IMM0008", and 2004's "Datenbergbau" - then moving onto work further afield with successful sets at Pride and their invitation to one of Romania's most progressive electronic fests TMBase05, all was on course for a conventional career in music until the glove of authority struck hard. Never ones to hide their beliefs and commitment to being true in the face of their freedoms, an episode with agents at the American border halted their crossing to commence their first tour there in 2005 and forcibly induced the birth of Autorotation as we know them now. A relocation to the thriving UK underbelly seemed the only option. The realisation kicking in that outsider status there was actually a plus, a concerted effort to bring their own style of proceedings to the stage began in earnest, vividly accompanied by the release of 2009's "Everything Is Everything" and 2011's "Jesus Bolts", the addition of a vital third member (Laura Tanner) in 2013 only expanding their sphere. Being a major cog in the highly successful EAR Festival was arguably the final catalyst in organising their own spectacular ongoing "Is It All Black & White" independent festival event in 2014. It's emphatically the full harvest, to date at least, of their ambition, vision and graft. Set in a large disused chapel in the grounds of a picturesque London park, the first year's audience was doubled the next by simple word of mouth. The synthesis of Electronic, Classical and acoustic artists accompanied by the mesmerising visuals on offer proved highly unique: they were doing something very right… There's no song and dance about wanting to be seen to be outside the box, nothing so shallow, it's just simply where they operate most effectively, and they're attracting like minded artists like moths to a flame. To the ear, Autorotation choreograph a lush electronic choral sensibility with progressive and percussive beats, disorientating washes of pedal-tones and natural warm acoustics, and all somehow within the confines of one 'song'. There are no boundaries. Be assured, this is an outfit you need to get to know. Anthony Barret (The Soap Company) – London, 2016 A noisy electronic art pop trio from London. Mixing voices with acoustic and electronic instruments and visuals. Available for bookings.
