About this concert
Three veterans of Nordic jazz, eleven acoustic-electronic compositions, a brand new band: Bugge Wesseltoft, Magnus Öström and Dan Berglund are Rymden!`I`ve wanted to start a piano trio for a long time, but I never found the right people for it,` says Wesseltoft. `Then I played on the album `Trialogue` together with Henrik Schwarz and Dan Berglund. Thanks to Dan, I had to work with Magnus and e.s.t. think - I have always admired the band for their dedication and hard work. `Rymden do not know genres. Pop, rock, club sounds and even classical music flow into the sound of this mostly acoustic trio, while synthesizers and electronics are used only subtly. What Jamie Cullum once had on e.s.t. said, is also true for Rymden in the future: `I can also take friends who have nothing to do with jazz, to their concerts. Not because they are easy to consume or to experiment with. But because their improvisational approach is full of exciting and contemporary ideas. `
