Think Pink Martini, Billie Holiday, Astrud Gilberto and Kate Bush walk into a festival! The Kate Thomas Trio are currently taking the London circuit by storm. "Delightful Show…" - BTL Jazz This trio present an eclectic blend of music that will take you on a journey through Bohemia. You can expect jazz ballads, swing, gypsy jazz, bossa novas, tangos, the blues, a dash of alternative pop and some originals. A variety of languages will weave in and out of each set that include Spanish, French, Romany and of course English! Leading this highly eclectic trio is singer-songwriter Kate Thomas who began her career in Italian Opera and has since travelled the world performing in many different languages and genres that include jazz, blues and world music. Back in 2014 Kate was the only solo artist to make it through to the Battle of the Bands final at the Boisdale, she has extensively toured in France and has had the pleasure of gracing stages at both Glastonbury and Ronnie Scott's. "Sultry dame…" - All About Jazz Joining Kate to make up this trio will be classically trained Genevan guitarist Alex Scheuerer. Undeniably influenced by jazz-latin-fusion guitarist Pat Metheny, Alex's playing style will stun you with incredible tone, control and effortless creativity. To complete the trio will be Dom Clark on Trumpet and you will find it almost impossible not to be bewitched by Dom's soulful trumpet solos.

Kate is a London based singer-songwriter, actress and presenter. Musically Kate´s sound is an eclectic mix of jazz, Latin, folk and world music.
Gigs include: Green Note, Grow, The Bulls Head Jazz Club, BTL Jazz, Jazz Verse Jukebox at Hoxton Hall, Toulouse Lautrec, Spice of Life, Water Rats, The Boisdale (Finalist in the Battle of the Bands 2014) Ronnie Scott’s, Half Moon Putney, Pizza Express, The RARE Jazz Festival and The Brentwood Festival on the bill with UB40.
Kate´s current show “Journey Through Bohemia“ has been working its way across the UK over the last year. This eclectic show will quite literally take you on a “Journey Through Bohemia“ with sets that include: smoky jazz ballads, fiery Latin guitarras, wild gypsy rhythms and soulful folk arpeggiations. Expect a variety of languages to weave in and out of each set that include Spanish, French, Italian, Romany and of course English! Available as a duo through to a full band.
Last year (2019) Kate was supported by Music Gateway to attend the MIDEM music conference in Cannes, France. Back in 2017 Kate was supported by PRS for Music and released her debut EP “The Lion´s Raw“
