The Roustabouts Biography
As the old saying goes, "the blues is a feeling." We are carriers of that torch, bringing years of study to bear in a world that needs real down-home music more than ever. Our keen love for the genre is built upon long-term dedication to music-making itself. Singer Andrew Wiley and fiddler Pete Daniels boast 30 years-plus of training and practice, showcasing skills on the theater stage and venues as well-known as the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Bassist Jeff Mueller has accumulated a rolodex thick with notable names including the late great Allen Toussaint and DC's very own Tommy Lepson. Drummer Phil Bucci and guitarist Dan Shine also bring well-seasoned chops to the table. Over the years we've learned this: Everybody leaves a Roustabouts show feeling satisfied. We give it our all, every night. Finally, let it be known that this blues band will not be stereotyped. This is not a "Mustang Sally," into "The Thrill is Gone" kind of experience. At least half of the songs audiences hear at our shows are original compositions, ranging from traditional blues to funk to good old rock-n-roll. We aim to please... and we hope to see your face in the place at our next show! DC's Finest Blues-Fiddle Band! http://www.theroustabouts.com
