About this concert
Woodburner is proud to present our weekly festival, every Tuesday at Dalston Eastern Curve Garden through the summertime, with world-class father and son collaboration The Baillie Duo, instrumental sax collective Silvertongue and sensational singer-pianist Natalie Holmes. The Baillie Duo Father and son duo Alexander Baillie (cello) and Max Baillie (violin) have been playing together for over 30 years since when Max began the violin aged 5. Alexander was a star of the classical world, appearing as soloist at the BBC Proms 6 times. Max has caught up a little and has appeared all over the world and collaborated with artists including Bjork, Steve Reich, John Williams, Bobby McFerrin, Baaba Maal, and many others. The Baillie Duo’s repertoire has evolved since the early days of ‘Sad Swans’ and ‘The Crabs of Walberswick’, and now  includes most of the major pieces written for the violin-cello combination, including the Brahms Double Concerto which they toured with South Africa’s national orchestra last year. https://youtu.be/7Rs2KAlmgnk Silvertongue Saxophonist Stacey Silvertongue is one of the leading lights in London's live music scene, collaborating with a huge number of Artists including Baby Bam, The Doves, Mount Nakara and leading DJs in dance music. Her music brings together her love of live instrumental music, drawing influence from acts such as Cinematic Orchestra and Snarky Puppy to create rich cinematic soundscapes which sweep audiences away. On the night she will be joined by a full band to realise this project live for the Curve Garden audience. https://youtu.be/-DbKqfc4DII Natalie Holmes Bristol-based singer/songwriter Natalie Holmes writes lilting, haunting and yet somehow invigorating pop, with honey toned vocals and an incredible depth to every song. Natalie Holmes Biography

A consistently solid songwriter & musician at her foundation, Natalie Holmes has been releasing music both for herself and with others since 2010, with an unwavering energy for encouraging inward reflection and growth through her music and lyrics. Beginning the journey with grainy covers on YouTube, Natalie now has countless EP’s and singles released under her own name, as well as extensive self-produced demo albums on Bandcamp and Patreon where her close and connected fans support her.

On top of an extensive collection of songs released under her solo persona, she's worked on a diverse range of collaborations, notably ‘Zero’ with Oliver Smith on Anjunabeats (a song she originally posted as a demo for her Patreon community, the Trance version reaching #1 in the iTunes Dance chart in over 15 countries), & ‘Doubt You’ (w/ Cadmium & Rival) an emotional melodic futurebass anthem that hit 1 million streams in 3 months.

In 2016 Natalie was asked to tour as a lead vocalist with Trance legends Above & Beyond on their Acoustic World Tour (Acoustic - Live At The Hollywood Bowl) and has received attention for her solo material from Radio 2, Record of the Day, & Clash, the latter quoting “an inspired return from a songwriter we will enjoy watching develop over the coming months and years”. Her latest project saw her officially release a body of work produced & mixed entirely by herself, leading Tom Robinson to give 'Dandelion' a spin on his BBC 6 show.
