About this concert
This special charity gala sees Royal Ballet soloist Fernando Montano and some of his close friends present an evening of world class ballet, opera and classical music at the stunning Susie Sainsbury Theatre in the Royal Academy of Music to raise funds for the Marine Conservation Society.
Fernando is one of Latin America's leading dancers and he'll be joined by West End legend Oliver Tompsett, the outstanding Lithuanian mezzo-soprano Justina Gringyte who will soon once again be playing the lead role in the English National Opera's production of Carmen at the London Coliseum. They will be accompanied by Latvian concert pianist Reinis Zarins, lead vioinist with Les Miserables, Jonathan Hill and some very special guests and the production will be hosted by Sian Lloyd.
The event is also being staged as part of Fernando's project 'Dance for the Sea' to raise awareness of the danger of plastic in the oceans and is accompanied by an exclusive photographic exhibition of images taken by Robin Conway of Fernando swimming amidst plastic.
