Richard Vagner Music

Richard Vagner is a violinist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer intertwining classical and modern music using live looping on a 5 string electric/accoustic violin and on other instruments. His music holds a theme of electronic instrumental ambience often featuring vocal artists.

He was born and raised in Los Angeles where he started playing the violin at the age of 7. He quickly began playing with various bands, traveling the states, while experimenting with every kind of instrument and sound.

At the age of 16 he produced, created, rapped, and played several instruments on a song called “Stand” that featured artists including Nahko (of Nahko and Medicine for The People), Xiuhtezcatl, Tubby Love, Amber Lily, Donny Arcade, & others! This song was a powerful message to bring awareness for Standing Rock.

At the age of 17 he was asked to tour the states with Trevor Hall. Soon after, he began performing around the world with and producing music for Xiuhtezcatl (of Earth Guardians), who is a youth activist and eco hip hop artist.

Since then, Richard has traveled the world several times performing & writing songs with various artists including Soja, Nahko, Trevor Hall, Twiddle, String Cheese Incident, Beats Antique, Papadosio, 4biddenknowledge, & others! Richard has over 45,000 followers on his social media platforms. He has recently played at Red Rocks with Twiddle and will be playing there with Soja this summer of 2019.

Richard Vagner just released a new single “Arches” featuring Trevor Hall and his Self Produced Debut Album “Boulder” that features Trevor Hall, Nahko, Xiuhtezcatl, 4biddenknowledge, & others!

He has recently opened for Trevor Hall at the Boulder Theater and will be opening for Dirt Wire at Cervantes on Dec. 13th! Catch him on tour performing solo shows from his debut album “Boulder”.
