After taking in his first EDM concert in 2012 at the well-known Soundwave festival – Medicine Mike noticed two things right away; he noticed world-renowned Calvin Harris in the line-up...and he also realized that he had yet to hear any of the other talent that would be onstage that day. A truly life-changing event – he realized that the culture of EDM was continually growing strongly inside himself...and that there had to be room for Medicine Mike on that stage somewhere as well...one day.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Medicine Mike eventually made his move to Arizona and began his venture into a lifetime of music. Studying at Mesa Community College, he started out promoting gigs and assisting others with their career before eventually making a move to the decks himself and playing everything from house parties and special events, to upscale bars & clubs. Word spread quickly about the incredible combinations of textures & sounds that Medicine Mike was bringing to the people from the stage and the support & enthusiasm for his style continued to expand in all directions of the globe.
The meaning behind his name says it all; Medicine Mike is a moniker termed for his intense belief that music has truly been his medicine. Throughout his life, good times or bad, the music has never left him for a moment, kept him whole, and filled with true purpose. His sets are filled with music that acts like a prescription directly from Medicine Mike, to you.
