About this concert
The Legendary Roots Crew make their NJPAC debut! We're thrilled to welcome the hardest-working group in showbiz, taking a break from appearing on your TV every night as house band for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Bassist-superstar (and NJPAC Jazz Advisor) Christian McBride, who grew up jamming with Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter while they were teens in Philadelphia, sets the stage with his free-funk jazz combo, A Christian McBride Situation (featuring Patrice Rushen, Alyson Williams, Ron Blake, Jahi Sundance and DJ Logic). It's a musical connection that will be renewed on this special evening. Presented by NJPAC's TD James Moody Jazz Festival .
