One hundred and twenty shows in three months is the norm for Reuben Stone on any given summer in Europe.
As New Zealand’s representative of street music culture, Reuben plays his well-oiled live looping show to the ravenous crowds, moving more records than most of New Zealand’s biggest artists.
As an artist that finds his roots in dub, inspirational encounters with musicians from all over the world unlocks new path ways and ideas every year.
Reuben’s set has taken on a fresh, more progressive vibe with much more electronic, gypsy jazz and blues influence.
Vocals, trombone, guitar, synth and drum samples still make up the physical structure of the music of Reuben’s well renowned, high-energy, live show.
