For a window into the evolution of jungle terror, look no further than Matt Ayers. The Los Angeles DJ and producer is pushing the boundaries of the subgenre while exploring new and uncharted territory.



Building on the blueprint laid out by Dutch jungle terror pioneer Wiwek, Ayers works everything from Latin house to riddim into his signature “jungle funk” sound. His studio cuts don’t disappoint, either. After debuting with a Jojo Greenz collaboration titled “Kamikaze” in 2017, he’s geared up to deliver a payload of new originals and remixes.



Despite carving out his lane on electronic music’s cutting edge, Ayers remains a diligent student of DJ culture. At the same time, however, he prides himself on exposing his audiences to something new.
