Jamie Behan

Widely acknowledged as the godfather of the techno scene in his home city of Cork, Jamie Behan has been at the forefront of Irish techno scene for the past 15 years. From the early days of his residency at legendary Cork club Sir Henrys, Behan has made his name through his rapidfire style of mixing and intense DJ Sets, fusing a plethora of styles into pulsating dark mutant grooves. He is a regular headliner at clubnights across Ireland, and has played further afield in the UK, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Bahrain, and Croatia, including notable appearances at clubs such as Tresor in Berlin, Corsica Studios in London, Aquarius in Zagreb, as well at festivals such as Dimensions and Amsterdam Dance Event. Behan is also the promoter of Ireland's longest-running techno night 'Bastardo Electrico', now in its 15th year of operations, and manages. the respected record label of the same name. Behan's DJ sets refuse to be pigeon-holed into a particular sound, incorporating diverse strains of techno from Detroit to Birmingham to Berlin influences, twisted together into a dark, mutant groove. He has showcased this eclectic fusion of sound through his own productions, which have appeared on labels such as Nice and Nasty, Static, and Bastardo Electrico, receiving support and plaudits from techno and house afficionados alike. He is also one-half of the production duo Flexure whose debut ep the "Shadow Puppets" was released early in 2017 to heavy support from the likes of Dave Clarke, Truss, Ben Sims, Dax J, Sunil Sharpe, Kamikaze Space Programme, John Heckle, Jerome Hill and many more Irish techno DJ and Producer.
