Poly Action

"Poly Action is a rock and roll band hailing from Austin, TX comprised of four crazy talented musicians who make it a habit of cranking out catchy songs and never selling their audience short. While the main songwriting duties go to the singer and guitarist, Ray Garza, the rest of the band makes it their chief concern to deliver catchy riffs and fun chord structures. On a typical night, lead guitarist, Gianni Sarmiento, can be seen shredding wildly complex guitar solos while the bassist, Zane Frisch, and drummer, Ben Humphreys, explore jazzy expeditions of taste and wonder, evocative of such great rhythm sections as that of an Entwistle and Moon or a Bonham and Jones. Overall, the band evokes such rock and roll luminaries as long time alt-country rockers, Wilco, or indie pop-rock icons as the Flaming Lips or Beck. While the band just finished recording their first full-length LP and is currently mixing down the final product, you can usually catch them performing in downtown Austin on a typical weekend night.
