Sea Legs Biography
Bateau Bay indie-rock revellers, Sea Legs, first emerged onto the Australian music scene in 2010.
The humble surfers immediately caught the attention of triple j, with their first two cuts 'Boyfriend' and 'Morse Code' seeing generous airplay.
The success of 'Boyfriend' continued through to Rage, where the music video was crowned ‘Indie clip of the week’, and also received regular spins on Channel V.
Shortly following on, the group consistently toured the East Coast, laying down debut EP ‘We Do What We Do When We Do What We Do’.
The EP was released in 2013 and featured three singles; all receiving triple j play, US college radio rotation and attracted support from UK game changers, NME and BBC 6.
The following year singles ‘Take A Little For Yourself’ and ‘Christopher Strong’ hit rotation on triple j. Christopher Strong also managed to chart at #3 on hypem.com via support from worldwide blogs.
2014 coincided with a vigorous live schedule, sharing festival main stages with the likes of Violent Soho, DMA’s, Ball Park Music and touring with British India, Jebediah and The Griswolds.
After finishing up their tour with US pysch-rock band, The Growlers, Sea Legs have been spending time finishing off their sophomore EP due for release later in 2015.
The first single 'Witches Have Friends' is due for exclusive release in late May / early June at their live shows through free download cards.
