Mackenzie Nicole

Classically trained to sing opera since the age of six and raised amidst a hip-hop label, Mackenzie Nicole describes her career goal simply – to Trojan horse some substance into mainstream pop music. It is not an exaggeration to say Mackenzie’s entire life has been spent within the Strange Music family, as Mackenzie’s work with Strange Music predates her tenth birthday thanks to her features on Tech N9ne's 2009 album K.O.D. While Mackenzie has featured on a number of tracks with label mates like Tech, CES Cru, and Prozak, it was not until the release of her first solo track “Actin Like You Know (feat. Tech N9ne)” on Strange’s 2015 label-wide collaborative Strangeulation Vol. II (Deluxe Edition) that Mackenzie became the apparent figurehead for Strange Music’s pop division. In a little over a year, Mackenzie has already garnered radio play for her singles “Actin Like You Know” and “Deleted” and made appearances on several nationwide tour dates. Now, Mackenzie Nicole is poised to lead the label’s charge into the pop music world, promising to still retain the independent integrity that makes Strange Music the empire it is.
