DJ FRANCOIS In 1989, when house music just started to emerge, Francois visited clubs such as Boccaccio and Barocci. It was in those clubs where his love and preferred style for music began. DJ Francois started his own DJ career in a small bar in Tilburg. Since 1990, he organized house-parties as resident DJ in the famous nightclub Kadance, where every weekend the place was packed with party people from all over the Netherlands, to enjoy the new music style HOUSE! During that time, DJ Francois was introduced to Bonzai records where he produced several tracks in collaboration with this label. The track ‘Gun Smoke & Fire’ was a direct hit and DJ Francois became a desired DJ in the larger and famous clubs, such as Club X and Goldfinger. In 1995, DJ Francois made the transition from the harder house music into the classic style house music. This choice made it possible to work with Marcel Woods, with whom Francois collaborated and produced the legendary track ‘De Bom’. This partnership led to the opening of the successful after-hours club “The Limit in Hilvarenbeek”. After “The Limit” was shut down, DJ Francois moved his after party to De Zino in Tilburg. After-partying at De Zino became a national hot spot for its weekly events and branched out to include the larger dance-event organizations. Unfortunately, De Zino burned down in 2008. But of course, DJ Francois was not defeated by this disaster - he started his own Zino Records label. DJ Francois created classic house party tracks, such as ‘Orcheal’, ‘After 6 AM’, and developed his own party concepts called FREAKS and Zino Classixs. At these events, the intense and energetic atmosphere keeps the Zino legacy alive! In addition to organizing his own events, DJ Francois continues to be a legend in the house scene, and his name is frequently present in the line-up of the larger dance events, such as Trance Energy, Mysteryland, Decibel, Matrixx, Intents, Harmony of Hardcore, Defcon, Q Base, Atmoz, and he is one of the resident DJ’s at Pussylounge events. He is still busy producing new tracks and since 2012, DJ Francois has been working with DJ Pat B. One of the tracks this partnership produced is ‘iPussy’ – a track frequently played by his DJ colleagues. DJ François keeps pushing forward . He may be a legendary house dinosaur, but still going strong!
