About this concert
JSO’s Music on Tap series brings a great evening of “Up-North Music” to help ease your case of Cabin- Fever with Michigan’s own, Troll for Trout (T4T). T4T is about a lifestyle. It’s that excited feeling of leaving work early on a beautiful Friday afternoon and pointing your vehicle North. It’s about camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cooking outside, good conversation around a campfire with great friends, reflecting, reading, and relaxing. Says frontman and songwriter Michael Crittenden, "It’s about finding and reconnecting with the peace that resides in all of us, but gets buried by the day to day grind.”

As usual, Trout put on a great show. They played plenty of old school hits and remade one old school song and made it new! They also did a couple impressive covers and intrracted with the crowd a lot. Can't wait to see them again!!

Troll for Trout Biography
“Gettin’ out of town, driving in your car
Pulling off the road, stoppin’ at a bar
Yeah, we’re headin’ out tonight, the mirror compass reads N
And it feels so free to be this direction again”
Those lines from Troll for Trout’s anthem, “Gettin’ Out of Town,” capture the spirit of the band’s colorful 25-year history – a legacy that’s earned the Michigan band a diehard following and spawned an impressive trove of acclaimed recordings. Michael Crittenden, founding member and chief songwriter, best sums it up this way: “Troll for Trout and our music has always been about a lifestyle. It’s that excited feeling of leaving work early on a beautiful Friday afternoon and pointing your vehicle North where there’s no schedule. It’s about camping, cottaging, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cooking outside, cocktail hour with good friends, good conversation around a campfire, river paths, reflecting, reading, and relaxing. It’s about finding and reconnecting with the peace that resides in all of us, but gets buried by the day to day grind.”
