On Holiday

To simply describe us; On Holiday is a punk rock band from Oklahoma City. We are musically influenced by all the sub-genres of punk. We listen to emo, skate punk, folk punk, ska, and rap to name a few styles. 


To summarize our sound, one might imagine Dicky Barrett or Johnny Cash singing Punk-O-Rama or Tony Hawk Pro Skater tunes. Have the idea? Well, forget all of that and push play. 


Formed in late 2018, Aaron Miller and Jon Michael Jackson wanted to get out of this ridiculously conservative state to see the world. We decided the only way we could put the gears in motion was on holidays. Almost every weekend we hit the road and grind. Playing regionally and beyond. 


Within the first two years, and a few member changes later, we’ve seen both coasts and are set to release our first full length record in the spring of 2021 entitled INVASION. We also have played notable venues like House of Blues Dallas, 924 Gilman Berkeley, several DIY venues, and of course plenty of dive bars. 


INVASION was recorded in Jackson’s home with Skyler FlyingOut and Chance Danner. We sought out engineer and producer Mckeever Arnold to do the mix. 


Fast forward to Covid and here we are. We are currently getting radio play from RSU Radio 91.3 FM (Claremore, OK) and 100.5 FM The Katt (OKC, OK).
