Tír na nÓg is Gaelic for 'land of eternal youth'. Irish duo Tír na nÓg, formed in 1969 by Leo O'Kelly and Sonny Condell, are pioneers of progressive folk. Their music is based on strong Celtic roots, featuring intricate acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing.
In the 70s they toured with Jethro Tull, Procol Harum, The Who, Cat Stevens, Roxy Music and Hawkwind. 40 years on, Tír na nÓg are back as strong as ever!
Their songs do not age they are timeless, truly reflecting the 'land of eternal youth'.

Absolut fantastische live Band. Von Anfang an 100% und nur Party. Man kann gar nicht anders als mit zu tanzen. Einziger Kritikpunkt... Die fortwährende merch Erwähnung. Hätte ich noch als running Gag empfunden, wenn es nicht auf einem weiteren Konzert auch schon so gewesen wäre 😉

Tir na nOg Biography
Tír na nÓg was an Irish band of the early 1970s, consisting of Leo O'Kelly and Sonny Condell. Their music mainly consisted of their own compositions, based on strong Celtic roots and typically featuring intricate acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. They toured the folk clubs of England; played live on John Peel's radio show; toured internationally as a support act for several rock bands; and made three studio albums.
