Creative freedom and the joy of motion are the driving forces behind the six-piece, genre dancing band, L.Y.O.N.
Standing for Love Your Own Noise, L.Y.O.N. personifies the affirmation with aid of unmatched energy and of course, music.
The group was formed in 2018 by T.J. Nathan, Music Artist AKEEM, and Hifey Gallivant. Shortly after, Connor Bigelow, Kamara Landry, and Jamiles Lartey were added to round out the group’s sound.
L.Y.O.N. claims influence from neo-soul acts like, D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, jazz fusion greats such as, Robert Glasper and Butcher Brown to hometown heroes, Ledisi and Tank and the Bangas.
Recently, L.Y.O.N. was named a Top Ten Finalist in the 2019 New Orleans Music Showcase, Essence Festival Edition.
