Bad Solution Biography
Bad Solution is a London based band that was formed in January 2010 by Trix and Mariusz Chojnowski. After a while three new members joined the formation: Mariusz ‘Maniek’ Burzynski (drums), Wojtek Suberlak (bass guitar) and Wojtek (V) Redzicki (vocals).
Bad Solution played their first gig in a popular rock club Enterprise in Camden. They played several gigs mainly in London area for the next 18 months. They also recorded their first demo, that was played by PRL (Polish Radio London, Polskie Radio Londyn).
In November 2011 British frontman Alex Willox joined the band taking over from Wojtek Redzicki. On the 6th of January 2012 Bad Solution played a gig during the event organised by Polish charity organisation WOSP (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) in Hammersmith in London.
The band spent the next months playing gigs and writing new songs. They also worked on a new demo that was recorded at the beginning of 2013.
At the end of 2013 Bad Solution played another big gig in INTERPID FOX, supporting famous British band Damn Dice. It was also Maniek’s last gig with Bad Solution.
2014 was an important year for the band. Guys took part in preliminaries to Bloodstock festival, one of the biggest festivals in Europe. Young and talented drummer Joe Patterson was helping the band at the time and decided to join the band after a few rehearsals.
In July 2014 Bad Solution took part in Guildfest festival, where they shared the stage with band like The Blackout, Gallows or Soulfly, just to name a few. The band was also a headliner at Q2 Academy Islington. Bad Solution played several gigs: The Iron Cross in Sitcup, Temple in Woking, Scruffy Murphy’s in Birmingham, Black Heart in Camden with Scream Blue Murder. Bad Solution got to the final round of Metal To The Masses and gave a great show during Cavefest in Joe’s hometown.
In July 2015 the band released their firs EP ‘Self Destruct’ that had very good ratings across English media and music magazines. Positive reviews were printed by Metal Hammer and Kerrang.
Towards the end of 2015 Bad Solution signed a contract with Italian Alpha Omega Management, that resulted with gigs in Kiev, Ukraine as a support for Dead By April. The band also took part in a well-known charity event ‘Ride for Dime’ in London.
In October 2016 the band released their first video to ‘Dear Sarah’. The song was inspired by a true story of a little girl that was kidnapped and murdered. The strong message and link to real life made the song become a great success.
Guys from Bad Solution were busy at the end of 2016, spending all their free time in the studio recording old and new material. After a few months of hard work, they will be releasing their debut album ‘The War Within’ that is being promoted by a single ‘Drowning’
“‘Drowning’ deals with the struggles of drink, drugs and mental health, it also discusses suicidal thoughts and tendencies. It’s a song that is straight from my thoughts and feelings, and I hope others can relate to it and know they are not alone. We are here for everyone who needs us.” Alex Willox
There are ten songs on the cd. The album got great reviews from English media. After the band recorded their album, they signed a contract with Metal Mercenaries.
Bad Solution is now getting ready for their tour promoting ‘The War Within’ album. The release of the album is planned for the 4th of August 2017.
In March 2019 band split up with Alex and from July 2019 Stacii Omega became new lead vocalist.
