People of the Sun: Houston's Tribute to Rage Against the Machine Biography
People of the Sun: Houston's Tribute to Rage Against the Machine is active and back on tour, after a brief break, to the delight of their following. Prior to the hiatus, they were very thankful to have had the opportunity to play for an assortment of venues, culminating at White Oak Music Hall in July of 2018.
This band embraces the legacy created by the unparalleled musical force that is Rage Against the Machine. It is the hope and desire of People of the Sun to not only provide an accurate sonic reproduction of the R.A.T.M. catalog, but to remind and inform those in attendance of the “struggles throughout the world”[1] and empower audiences through this music.
Since its inception in 2012, this tribute was born of two things: friendship and a love for the music of Rage. What began as an opportunity to develop their talents together would inevitably evolve into something that simply had to be shared: an honest reproduction of R.A.T.M. from humble beginnings, making music for the people.
