SONOMA es el experimento musical de Juan Contreras y Pedro Tadeo. El proyecto comenzó a finales de 2009 en Querétaro, México. Su primer álbum "Random Acts Of Plectrum", fue lanzado el 28 de septiembre de 2011, con la netlabel Dos Tonos Records. La palabra Sonoma significa "El Valle de la Luna" y proviene de las tribus Miwok y Chocuyen de Norteamérica. La leyenda de Miwok dice que la luna nació en este valle, y se levanta de aquí varias veces por noche. El valle está situado al sureste del condado de Sonoma, en California, Estados Unidos. The word Sonoma means “The Valley of the Moon” and comes from the Miwok and Chocuyen tribes from North America.
