Dj Blesh

DJ Blesh was born in city of Gweru which he describes as the music capital of Zimbabwe. He is a renowned DJ, producer and radio personality who debuted into the music scene in the year 2010 with appearances at local clubs. With numerous remixes of artists like Sean Paul, Dua Lipa and Justin Bieber to name a few, DJ Blesh is by far one of the most popular and talked about DJ/remixers in Zimbabwe. DJ Blesh at the age of 16 made his first club appearance at the famous but now defunct Club Insomnia where he was dubbed as the new kid on the block with consistency, getting into EDM music production and on air work. As his peers know him as ‘The Young Legend’.

From 2011, DJ Blesh has managed to host or share the stage locally with marquee artists such as Winky D, DJ Storm, DJ Tamuka, Ray Dizz, Oliver Mtukudzi, Freeman, Seh Calaz and Soul Jah Love. Internationally he has rubbed shoulders with acts such as K.O, Mafikizolo, Demarco, Turbulence and Black Supremacy Sounds. DJ Blesh has had the honour of being nominated and scooping some coveted awards such as the Young People in Business Awards as Music Promoter of the Year which he won in 2014, at the same time being nominated for the Midlands Music Awards for the Best Club DJ category.

At present DJ Blesh continues to tour and feature as a supporting act around the country for international acts. He independently released his debut album titled ‘Finally Famous’ which was released on 1 September 2018 is currently making waves and breaking ground, a rare feat for a genre that is still growing and yet to be embraced fully in Zimbabwe. The album contains features from the likes of Kazz AKA Mr Boomslang, Tinashe Makura, Cal Vin and MC Chita.
