Rumproller Organ Trio

Rumproller Organ Trio is centered around the Hammond B3 Organ, a staple of American music from churches to nightclubs, living rooms to ballparks. Capable of a mellow whisper or a raucous roar, the many voices of the B3, along with guitar and drums, lend a soulful tinge to any song. The group's repertoire is wide as the Mississippi. Whether a recent pop hit by Taylor Swift,  a jazz standard or an R&B classic by Ray Charles, Rumproller’s deep swing and feel-good grooves, transports audiences back to the nightclubs and lounges of the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s.  While many of today's music performances incorporate laptops, digital keyboards, and backing tracks, Rumproller relies on the technology from the last century- the 450-pound Hammond B3 Organ- because like the song says there ain’t nothing like the real thing!  At the helm of a B3, a person uses both feet to operate pedals for the bass and volume as his hands flick knobs, push and pull levers and play keys to keep the music swinging. It’s like watching someone drive a race car, fight a prize fight and play piano at the same time.   When not touring with Social Distortion or Tedeschi Trucks Band, B3 virtuoso Carey Frank mans the controls of the organ. James Achor of 90's swing revival kings Royal Crown Revue plays guitar and groove-master/Rumproller-founder Kevin Stevens is on drums. Forrest “Woody” Mankowski has been in demand in recording studios as a commercial singer/instrumentalist for decades - performing on over 500 TV jingles and commercials. As a free-lance musician, Woody has backed The Temptations, The Four Tops, Cheap Trick, Aretha Franklin, James Ingram, Peabo Bryson, and many others.
