Jason James (CAN) Biography
My name is Jason James, while I was born in Toronto, I was raised in what is now a huge city known as Brampton, ON.
Music was always a part of my life in some shape or form. And to this day, that passion continues to grow.
When I finally started honing in on my taste of music during grade school, is when I actually started to pay attention to the musicians in the bands I loved and the music they created, which in turn inspired me to pick up a guitar.
My first band I played guitar, followed by playing bass in the next two. All this knowing my inner passion was to sing and write my own songs.
Finally near the end of 2012 is when I started this journey…Better late than never I suppose.
Having shared the stage with bands such as My Darkest Days, Die Mannequin and Bleeker, I knew I had the stage presence, now I just had to find my voice.
2014 was my first effort. With the release of my self titled debut EP.
Alternative rock could be used to describe my music, even though it’s acoustically driven. And with 2017 now upon us, look for my follow up EP in the spring.
