About this concert
Third show announced! Click HERE for tickets Fresh from her hit single ‘Groceries’ going gold, the future of Australian pop music Mallrat today announces that she’ll be heading out on her largest national tour yet this March.Tickets for the ‘Nobody’s Home’ tour will go on general sale on Thursday, January 24th and the shows will feature supports from boundary-pushing producer Basenji, alongside future pop stars in their own right, Kota Banks and NYNE.This tour will see Mallrat headline the biggest stages of her career, beginning March 30 at The Triffid in Brisbane before heading to The Rosemount in Perth, The Governor Hindmarsh in Adelaide, The Corner in Melbourne, The Metro in Sydney and the UC Refectory in Canberra. These shows follow hot on the heels of Mallrat’s return from Europe, where she’s once again set to support her friend Maggie Rogers for her upcoming European tour, having also travelled across the US with Maggie last year. Theirs’ is a friendship and on-stage love affair that blossomed way back on Rogers’ first tour of Australia in 2017 when she first took Mallrat and her inimitable DJ Denim on the road with her, and has only gone from strength to strength as they’ve sailed around the world together, both defining the sound of the modern, indie pop era. This all follows on from the huge year Mallrat had in 2018, which saw her release her globally celebrated EP In The Sky, release the monster singles ‘UFO’ Feat. Allday and the aforementioned ‘Groceries,’ land at #46 in the Hottest 100 with ‘Better,’ mount two sold out national Australian tours, perform at SXSW, and dominate the stages at Groovin’ The Moo, Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival to name just a few. With these tour shows and more music releases planned for the rest of 2019, it looks like Mallrat plans on making this year even bigger.
