About this concert
CAST TO BRING ‘GREATEST HITS TOUR’ TO AUSTRALIA IN 2019 Due to unforseen circumstances, 90’s Britpop legends CASThave been forced to reschedule their Australian shows.  Originally set to kick off in early February, the trip down under will now be postponed until October, when fans will get the chance to hear the band’s greatest hits, plus other firm crowd favourites.  ‘We were all dead excited about getting over to Australia and finally performing for our fans down under” Said John Power. “I know we’re going to want to make up for lost time and show you all what a great live band we are, so I’m expecting the band to be on fire when we get down there in October!”  Originally formed in 1992 from the ashes of two of the most legendary and lauded guitar bands of all time, The La’sand Shack, Cast released four albums, had ten top 10 singles and were described by Noel Gallagher as ‘a religious experience’ after seeing them live, before disbanding in 2001.  Their 1995 hit record ‘All Change’ became the biggest selling debut album of all timefor Polydor Records, and helped the band secure fan bases around the world. A decade after splitting, the bands original line-up reunited with original producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall) for their new record ‘Troubled Times’. Tickets to the bands original shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth will still be valid, however fans that can no longer attend shows in October will be entitled to a refund.

Cast Biography

After a sold-out comeback tour in 2010, Cast reunited with original producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall) to release a new album ‘Troubled Times’ in 2012, the fifth since the now classic 'All Change', the fastest ever selling debut album on Polydor Records at the time, outstripping even their long time influence, The Who.

After releasing four albums on Polydor the essence of Cast kept making music, John Power released 3 solo roots albums, made a theatrical debut as John Lennon in a stage production of his life at the Royal Court in Liverpool, and as long term collaborator with The Justice Collective (feat. Pete Wylie, Mick Jones, Peter Hooton) featured on the UK Christmas Number 1 'He's My Brother', seeking justice for the 96 people that died at a football match in 1989. The complete studio recordings of John Power 2002-2015 boxset was released in May 2015.

Lead guitarist Skin has been recording albums and touring the world with Robert Plant (Zed Zeppelin) as member of The Sensational Space Shifters and released an album as 'Men From Mars'.

When not drumming with Cast Keith O'Neil is Tour Manager for major UK acts (and also drummed with Kealer, check those records out).

In 2015 original bassist Pete Wilkinson stepped back from the band and ex-La's and John Power Band member Jay Lewis stepped up to bass duties.

Cast continue to record new music and tour. Noel Gallagher described seeing Cast live as a religious experience. There is still nothing in this world to suggest that he was wrong about that.
