I’m a little late to following The Veer Union but came across them on Spotify and was hooked. Then I started following them on Instagram and saw that they were on tour. Lucky for me they came to the DC area. Bought my tickets right away and on the night of the show they did not disappoint. The sound was great, vocals over the music. I hate going to a show where the music is too loud and drowns out the vocals. They ran through a variety of their hits and after the show were at their Merchandise table. Got to meet the band who were really nice and took the time to speak with all their fans. Just a great experience and night of music.

The Veer Union Biography

The Veer Union is a Vancouver based hard rock band that formed in 2004 and has collectively sold over 100,000 Albums and also reached 30 Million Streams Worldwide. With seven Top 40 singles on the Billboard Rock Radio Charts the band has proven they can stand the test of time. TVU released their first independent album titled “Time To Break The Spell” in 2006 under the name Veer. The band quickly gained notoriety after winning a spot in the CFOX 99.3 Vancouver "Seeds" radio competition in 2007. In 2008 the band updated their name to The Veer Union and landed a record deal with Universal Records. The critically acclaimed 1st single "Seasons" charted Top 10 at Active Rock Radio in the US and Canada. 2009 saw the release of their Universal distributed album "Against The Grain", which included "Seasons", "Youth of Yesterday", and "Darker Side of Me". In 2012 the band released their self-produced 3rd album (the 2nd as The Veer Union) "Divide the Blackened Sky" which yielded the Active Rock hit "Bitter End". In late 2013 TVU released the "Life Support, Vol. 1" EP as part of a Kickstarter campaign.
In 2016 the band released the 4th full length LP “Decade” to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their 1st release. With the success of the album “Decade” and the single “Defying Gravity” – which chronicles Earl's battle with depression, the band is continuing down that same road of success by now releasing “Decade 2: Rock & Acoustic”. The album was released on Crispin's own Rock Shop Entertainment label (RSE) on August 31st, 2018. An extensive touring schedule commenced just before the "Decade 2" release in late August and by the end of 2018, the newest singles “Living Not Alive” and “Numb” had both reached Top 40 on the Billboard Rock Radio Charts and the album had been streamed over 5 million times.
In 2019 the band is continuing a rigorous touring schedule in support of the ongoing campaign of “Decade: History of Our Evolution” as well as celebrating the 10 year anniversary milestone of their first major label release (Universal/Mowtown) “Against The Grain”. In celebration of this release, the band’s spring/summer North American tour is titled “The 10 Year Anniversary Tour” and will kick off in Seattle, WA on March 28th, routing the band through both the United States and Canada, finishing in their hometown of Vancouver, Canada on June 1st 2019.
