The Second Sons Biography
"The Second Sons are the best thing to happen to rock n roll since Booker T fell in with the MG’s. I absolutely love their new songs. While being just about as old as Elvis, it's also entirely and excitingly brand new. It drives like a freight train and punches like a very young Mike Tyson. In a bleak and strange time -- I write from the middle of America -- this band gives me hope for the republic of rock n roll."
- Rich Cohen, Contributing Editor, Rolling Stone
Nominated “Best Rock Act” – UMA’s 2018, the Second Sons rose to international acclaim in 2016 after making their debut in May of the same year at TimeOut Magazine’s “Rising Stars”. The Second Sons released their debut single “Best of Me” - featuring the late and legendary Bobby Keys - in mid 2016 which was followed by the band’s electrifying collaboration with iconic record producer Chris Kimsey on their single “Can’t You See” - both of which have been featured on BBC Introducing London and have enjoyed radio support internationally. The Second Sons were also featured in a twelve-page exclusive debut article in international men’s lifestyle and fashion magazine, Jocks and Nerds, titled “The band that may just save rock ‘n’ roll” with copy and interview by Hamish MacBain (former NME).
The Second Sons recently provided direct support to Greta Van Fleet on their latest sold out UK tour (March/April 2018) as well as direct support to the Struts on their recent sold tour of the UK (June 2018) including sold out performances at the O2 Islington Academy in London, Institute 2 in Birmingham and Academy 3 in Manchester (March/April 2018) as well as KOKO in London and Gorilla in Manchester (June 2018). The band have also performed numerous dates in the UK and Europe, including dual performances at the Isle of Wight Festival (including the Big Top stage) and a mainstage performance at the 2016 Gibraltar Music Festival held in Victoria Stadium. The band are currently hosting a residency at London’s famed Troubadour venue beginning in July of 2018.
The band have also recently announced the planned release of a live concert album to be accompanied with a full, live concert feature video. The band will also be heading into the studio in early 2019 to begin recording their next EP.
