Mark Vincent Biography

At the young age of fifteen, Mark Vincent stepped onto the set of Australia’s Got Talent and stunned a nation with his powerful and emotive rendition of Puccini’s, Nessun Dorma. Mark’s incredible voice, mature beyond it’s years, along with his heart-warming story of his grandfather Bruno, who inspired him to sing, yet would never live to see his first television performance, captured the hearts of people all over Australia and internationally. Mark Vincent would eventually propel himself from that very first performance, to become the winner of Australia’s Got Talent 2009,
Mark Vincent has gone on to become one of Australia’s most beloved tenors, having released Nine consecutive #1 ARIA Classical Crossover Albums, and having earned accolades both nationally and internationally.

Vincent’s 8th album, A Tribute To Mario Lanza, contains the ground breaking ‘virtual duet’ of ‘Because You’re Mine’ with the Hollywood legend. The ‘duet’ made headlines and received the patronage of Mario Lanza’s daughter, Ellisa Lanza Bregman, who gave permission for the re-recording of the ‘virtual duet’ and said, “I’m pleased to allow my father’s recorded voice to be joined on this historic recording by the exciting young tenor, Mark Vincent.”

Like Lanza, Mark grew up in a family with strong Italian traditions and heritage and has always been inspired by the legendary Italian tenor.

Tribute debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Charts, and at #1 on the ARIA Classical Crossover Charts. The album went on to be the highest selling ARIA Classical Crossover album of 2017.

In 2014, Mark Vincent made his musical theatre debut in the Australian national production of Dirty Dancing. It was a far stretch from singing classical or Opera, yet it was a chance for Mark to showcase a whole different side of himself, an opportunity he embraced. His performances garnered great reviews for his role of Billy and set the stage for Mark to continue to work in theatre for many years to come.
In June 2016, Dame Julie Andrews, DBE directed the Australian national production of My Fair Lady, in which she personally cast Mark in the role of Freddy Einsfeld Hill. The production opened to rave reviews and was a resounding success. Working under the direction and tutelage Of Dame Julie has been a highlight of Mark’s career thus far.

Vincent concluded a stellar 2017 with a national headline tour, followed by a sold-out tour of the UK with international soprano Katherine Jenkins, performing in iconic venues including Royal Albert Hall in London.
In 2018 saw Mark performing in Ireland for a series of performances with Irish tenor Tommy Flemming.

Mark also celebrated the release of his first Christmas album, The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, which he debuted live at his yearly Christmas spectacular at the Sutherland Entertainment Center. In addition to his own yearly Christmas concert event, Mark has been a constant regular of Carols in the Domain, which takes place in Sydney and draws an audience of up to 80,000 people and is broadcast nationally by the Seven network.

2019 was one of Mark’s most exciting years yet. Lots of great shows around Australia and Internationally. In September, Mark performed as special guest of Katherine Jenkins in the historic Roman castle, (Catello Orsini-Odescalchi). “It was such an amazing experience to sing in this magnificent venue said Mark”. Another great highlight of 2019 was being invited to Belfast, Ireland, to perform at the BBC Proms In the Park as special guest of Britain’s Got Talent and multimillion selling recording artist, Susan Boyle. Mark also got to spend a little time in the USA where he is planning to release his music and perform.

Although 2020, will be forever remembered around the world for Covid 19, which brought much of the world to a stand-still, Mark was determined to be productive and make a difference. He donated his time and talent by working virtually to raise money for organizations that were experiencing hardships due to the lockdown. Together, with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Mark and several of Australia’s top industry professionals, collaborated on an in-depth video conference, to discuss how the Australian Government could help the Australian entertainment industry get through the most historic of turbulent times. The conference assisted the Australian Government in determining to allocate a fund of two hundred and fifty million dollars to assist out of work entertainment industry professionals. Mark also celebrated his re-signing to the Sony music label, which has been Mark’s record label since he was fifteen years old. In October, Mark will begin recording his tenth studio album.

It’s been a great journey since winning Australia’s got talent. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of. Yet, Mark Vincent has so many more dreams to realize and millions more people to sing for.
