Headbore Biography

Hook laden melodies embellishing powerful grooves with a relentlessly crushing vocal. The Headbore assault combines aggression and melody to bring together some of the crowd-favourite hallmark elements of thrash, groove and death metal. Having released two albums, toured Australia multiple times and appeared at some of Australia’s leading heavy music festivals, Headbore has steadily built a strong national profile. For fans of bands such as Lamb of God, Machine Head, Chimaira and Pantera, Headbore has developed their own brand of brutality through a deep grounding in Adelaide's thriving metal scene. The bands' debut album 'Strength In Numbers' is a collection of intense and well-written songs. The tracks jump off the disc with the same neck-breaking honesty that formed the soundtrack for enthusiastic audiences at their early shows. Strength In Numbers was met with critical acclaim both in Australia and overseas and explains why the band quickly became known for their crushing riffs. Its solid production is thanks to the sounds captured by Andy Kite at Against The Grain Studio, South Australia and then mastered by the renowned Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studio, Sweden (Soilwork, Katatonia, Opeth, Devin Townsend). Headbore followed up their well-received first album with another full length offering 'The Grey’, released on Truth Inc Records in 2016. This second album again captures the bands' raw and powerful drive, but elevates it to a new level of confidence. Completed with mastering by Zeuss at Planet Z Studio, USA (Hatebreed, Soulfly, Rob Zombie), the album demonstrates a sustained attack of the heaving groove and melodic movement that has quickly become their trademark. After a busy few years since forming in 2011 and more recently managing a line up change, the band is again writing and rehearsing with renewed vigor and passion, ready to burst back onto the live scene bigger, heavier, angrier and more determined than ever! Headbore 2.0. Destruction is imminent. New album 'The Grey' out now! http://headbore.bigcartel.com/ http://headbore.bandcamp.com/
