"I didn't really know much of Prince's music at the time, unfortunately; in fact, I had never heard of that kind of lineup at all for a rock band, and I thought it was a great idea- so I started posting ads and asking around the local scene, and it wasn't long before I had a group together, and as soon as we started playing shows it just took off from there".
