Refuge Island Biography
On a dark grim night in November, four guys in Ayrshire decided to take refuge in an indie punk sound. The rain was lashing but the sound was bold and electric, and the Refuge Island sparks were started.
With big raspy vocals and deep lyrics from Wullie O, booming tones from John Martin on bass guitar, power chord changes from Darren and a fast tempo from Stib, the Refuge Island concept is raw and will make your ears prick up to listen.
Influenced by the Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Libertines, The Stooges, False-Heads, The Trampoline and The Slaves to name a few, the band is working hard on new music and will be touring across Scotland and beyond.
Their latest single Fighting In The Disco is out now and available to stream or download on Itunes, Apple Music and Spotify.
