The band was great asset to the Houston Live scene. They are a must to see especially if you like The Wild Moccasins or The Tontons.

El Lago Biography
When you visit the Texas island town of Galveston, there’s a feeling of relief as you take in the sea spray in the air and the surf on the rocks. Rebirth and resurrection are in the atmosphere. When you look at a band like EL LAGO, rebirth is a great way to see them. Once a group who made starry-eyed dream pop in unhurried washes of reverb, the four piece is ready to explore new visions. After debut album Colors, the band embarked on festival sets and a lengthy tour. Now with Colors in the past, EL LAGO takes a new direction that intertwines their dream pop and shoegaze beginnings and blends in notes of post-punk and new wave, resulting in their upcoming release, Pyramid. Due on October 25, the album takes bold steps in adding a darker element to their already pleasantly abstracted sound.
Pyramid will be released through Texas’ Wallflower Records and will be made available on multiple formats. Recorded by Austin Sepulvado, engineered by Steve Christensen and mastered by Chris Longwood, the album should delight fans of the band while introducing them to a broader audience at the same time.
EL LAGO has shared the stage with artists including Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab, Sylvan Esso, The Black Angels, Holy Wave, Blushing, and Crumb. The band is set to release a new EP on Wallflower Records ion October 25, with touring to follow in 2020.
