About this concert
The Epic of Gilgamesh, legend of the ancient world, hard-boiled into a detective story podcast, with a live three piece carnival funk fusion band, and a dancer. An epic cultural mash-up across the genres.
Brought to you by the band from the 2016 Fringe dance production, 'A Tale of Two Tribes'.
Presented by: Iron Dwarf
This is a band that defies description, suffice it to say that it is a world of music and styles ranging from sublime to ferocious...a sort of world carnival funk fusion with metal and folk and Caribbean and dub and hill-billy influences, with a middle eastern outback Aussie ukulele and harmonica and belly dance style. A three piece band with a solo dancer, transcending genres and telling stories to make audiences head's spin. With bass, harmonica and cajun, the music is bigger than you would think a three piece could produce, writing songs and choreographing dances to reinvigorate a jaded world and make us all believe in the power of funk to transform lives.

Armed with the mission to “fuck shit up” and create music reminiscence of lust and heartbreak the kid was born.
