Emmy Law Biography
Emmy Law is a singer/songwriter originally from Gainesville, GA. In 2016, Emmy moved to Atlanta, GA where she is now heavily involved in the music scene.
Since moving to Atlanta, she’s performed in some of the city’s top venues, including historic Eddie’s Attic, Red Clay Theater, and the Music Room at Smith’s Olde Bar. She’s also made a name for herself in Atlanta’s open mic scene, winning the night and advancing to the final round in a few of the best the city has to offer: Eddie’s Attic, EOP at Red Clay Theater, and the 99x Original Series. In 2014, Emmy won the John Jarrard Foundation songwriting contest, which was judged in part by members of the Zac Brown Band. As part of the contest winnings, Emmy opened onstage for some renowned Nashville songwriters, and says it’s been one of her favorite moments in her performing career.
Emmy released her debut EP ‘Fairyland’ in August 2018 after running a successful Kickstarter campaign. NeuFutur Magazine states, “Law’s vocals pull double duty in that their breathiness weaves a rich narrative while the overall harmonies laid down work perfectly with the larger instrumental complex.” The music video for the single has appeared on various media outlets including LATV, Music City Arts Nashville, Indie Wave, and IndieMusicTV.
