Eva Plays Dead Biography
Rock 'n' roll isn't dead, and Eva Plays Dead are the perfect proof. The antidote to all things pretentious and self-indulgent, this resurgent quartet are a monument to no-nonsense rock with attitude.
Fronted by boss-lady Tiggy Dockerty and her punk tinged vocals, Eva Plays Dead are a British rock band from Nottingham, UK, blending big riffs, infectious melodies and raucous energy.
They have been referred to as the Midland's 'Joan Jett and The Black Hearts' and although the punk attitude is more than evident, influence is drawn from a vast range of contemporary musicians such as Marmozets, Biffy Clyro and Gallows alongside the classic household names of Black Flag, Queens of the Stoneage and Foo Fighters.
'Sounds Of The Written Word' EP - July 2015 (Sound Hub Records):
KERRANG! - "Monster riffs & powerful vocals."
ROCKSOUND - "A hard edged rock 'n' roll effort. Returning with a greater focus on whopping riffs and melodies."
METAL HAMMER: "Putting the backbone in blues, this feisty slab of rock'n'roll does a good Halestorm impression while ramping up the tempo with Tiggy Dee's smash 'n' grab act."
POWERPLAY MAGAZINE: "There are some ferocious riffs to be had here, served up with a hefty dose of snarling attitude from take no prisoners front woman Tiggy Dee. A punchy and gritty slice of modern rock and roll that's well worth the time of any discerning lover of rock music."
PUNKTASTIC: "Huge and packed with dark and venomous riffs. Frontwoman Tiggy Dockerty displays her swaggering vocals, laced with plenty of confidence and gusto."
PLANETMOSH - "4/5. One of the hottest, hard biting rock quartets."
THE MUSICAL OUTCAST: - "Blasted out at breakneck speed from start to finish this is another slab of hard rock which is impossible to ignore."
