Scaredycats return to where it all began for their regular 'anniversary' gig and we can't wait to have them back. Just check out this review from Liverpool's Threshold festival and you'll understand why. "IMHO they are the most intelligent, unusual, quirky and off the wall band on the whole of the Wirral, if not further afield. I had heard Jim Pearson solo before, several times, and instantly loved his side-ways glance at life, the universe and everything... but this slick band of cats takes these philosophical musings to a higher level. These unassuming, tongue in cheek yet heart on sleeve, band of brothers are a real tight crew... even when songs end 'just like that' they're all in the know, apparently. Even a song like 'Bombs', which could have bombed, manages to lead the audience through a landmine field of unpalatable truths with the help of an infectious upbeat refrain. They finished their set with a song about the anxiety of having a job... by which time they'd 'done the job' with a very appreciative crowd. These songs and this band are a tonic to the heart, mind and soul... they make you smile, they make you laugh. Vive, Les Scaredycats'.
