FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is Rhythm and Vines? Rhythm and Vines is a multi-day music and camping festival located in Gisborne, New Zealand. It is a global destination where people travel to celebrate the New Year's with some of the world's hottest acts. 20,000 people attend each year, with over 15,000 campers nestled within the vines of the stunning Waiohika Estate. What is Tier 1 and Tier 2, etc tickets mean and how does it work? Rhythm and Vines operates a tiered ticketing system where the earlier you buy, the more you save. This is their way of rewarding their customers who purchase early. 3 Day GA Festival Pass Early Bird: $175 (SOLD OUT) Tier 1: $210 (SOLD OUT) Tier 2: $260 (SOLD OUT) Tier 3: $285 (SOLD OUT) Tier 4: $295  Camping costs an additional $100 for 4 nights camping (opening December 28). Vintage Club VIP passes cost an additional $125. If you would like to camp onsite, make sure to purchase a CAMPING ticket.  If the ticket does not say CAMP, then it does not include camping. Where is Bass, Mid, Sundown, Treble, Rhythm and Meadow Camp located? How can I ensure I get to camp with my friends? CAMPING IS NOW SOLD OUT. WAITLIST HERE Mid and Bass Camp are centrally located around the Vines Stage, which are located on the festival site. Treble Camp is located on the outskirts of the festival site, no more than 5 minutes walk. Close location to the festival car parks. Rhythm Camp is located in the vines between Cellar Stage and Rhythm stage. Sundown Camp is located opposite Treble Camp and the Teepee and Glamping village. Right on the doorstep of the entry into Rhythm and Vines festival site. Meadow Camp is located in the pastures behind the Rhythm Stage. Plenty of space and ability to escape from it all. Tent spaces are allocated in a first-in-first serve basis, so make sure when you check-in at the festival, that you round up your mates and go in together to ensure you get to camp in the same area.  You will be required to pitch your tent when you arrive in the campground shown on your ticket. After that, you can access the other campgrounds (apart from Premium Camping facilities) to visit friends. Is there Premium Camping this year? This year, if you are wanting a more premium camping experience, we recommend you purchase your 3 Day Vintage Club Premium Pass + Premium Camping. This provides you with access to our premium shower and toilet facilities within our Premium campgrounds (+ the added benefits of VIP mentioned below). Premium accommodation packages such as Glamping and Teepees are also available onsite. What does a Vintage Club Premium Pass get me? A Vintage Club Premium Pass is your ticket to a premium Rhythm and Vines experience at the festival.  All Vintage Club Premium Pass holders gain exclusive access to the following benefits: Access to the Vintage Club VIP area with comfort, seating, shelter, amazing views, powder room, flushing toilets. Vintage Club bar offering a cocktails and table service Access to viewing platforms at the Vines Stage and Rhythm Stage Priority check-in and express lanes at main bars Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Rhythm and Vines is strictly R18. By LAW, the ONLY forms of ID we can accept at R&V check in are: A valid and current NZ Photo Drivers' License A valid and current HANZ 18+ Card A valid and current NZ or overseas Passport  Please note: intoxicated persons may not be allowed into the venue. No refunds will be provided to persons disallowed entry due to intoxication.  Please drink responsibly and look after your mates. What are my transport/parking options getting to Gisborne? Festival Bus Passes are available for purchase HERE  If you are driving to the event, there is plenty of parking at the festival site. A fee may apply. If you are camping onsite, there will be free shuttles available each day (operating from 9:00am to 1:00pm) taking campers from the Festival to Gisborne central. These will also return back to the festival grounds, the last one leaving at 1pm. After 1:30pm you will require a Festival Bus Pass to get on any busses.  What can/can't I bring to the event? Rhythm and Vines and its campgrounds are fully licenced. Therefore, NO alcohol is allowed to be brought onto site or to the campgrounds (including the car park). There will be fully serviced bars located around the campsite and festival site. Is my registration/ticket transferrable? The name on each ticket must match the photo ID of the person attending on that ticket.  You will be able to change your name on the ticket to someone else, should you choose to sell it.  If you need to change the name on your ticket, please note that a transfer fee will incur an admin fee of $25 (increasing to $40 in December). The ticket buyer will also incur a $25 fee.
