NED Biography

NED originally begun life as a two piece after Nicole saw Vaughan playing a solo show and offered to put a beat behind him having previously never played the drums. After gigging for a couple of months friend and long time collaborator Luis Correia joined taking on the role of producer and guitarist and the band quickly finished the recording process of their debut album in Nicole and Vaughan’s living room in Camden Town, London. Multi-Instrumentalist Alex Eichenberger joined the band in 2014 on bass. 'A New Normal' was released in April 2013 and has garnered strong reviews with 'Sound Of Confusion' saying "...this album has a message, and this message is delivered in a way that shows intelligence and also a good level of songwriting. We could do with a few more bands tackling the facts head-on." and Rock Sound calling them ''an unmissable live prospect''. ''NED are an unmissable live prospect'' - ROCK SOUND "Fans of blur will find something to love about this" - EDDY TEMPLE MORRIS (XFM). "...this album has a message, and this message is delivered in a way that shows intelligence and also a good level of songwriting. We could do with a few more bands tackling the facts head-on." - THE SOUND OF CONFUSION "An album with a strong message is nothing without tunes to back it up, and NED not only rise to the task, but take you on a surprising, visceral and above all entertaining journey that gets better with every listen." - SOUTHEND WHO? "...this is a really dynamic, catchy and entertaining record made by a band that has a really bright future ahead. 4.5/5" - VENTS MAGAZINE " Abrasive alt rock with a malevolent undertone, but simple straight forward riff driven hooky tunes. Sounds a bit like The Clash but played with a Killing Joke-esque intensity and fire via a bit of stripped back skifflecore grooviness." - BUG BEAR Album Reviews : http://thesoundofconfusionblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/ned-new-normal.html http://southendwho.tumblr.com/post/54624376190/ned-a-new-normal-album-review-hailing-from http://ventsmagazine.com/a-new-normal-by-ned/ ALBUM - www.nedhq.bandcamp.com VIDEOS - https://m.youtube.com/#/user/nedbandhq PROPAGANDA - Twitter: @NEDband Instagram: @NED_band
